District 32 Senatorial Scholarship
The 2026 District 32 Senatorial Scholarship is available via Google Forms. This is a 4 year scholarship, for a Maryland school offered by Senator Beidle. If you are attending an out of state school and have a unique major approved by MHEC, you may also be eligible. The Applicant's scholastic performance and their family's financial situation are taken into consideration. All applications are reviewed by a dedicated group of volunteers that make up the Scholarship Committee. The Committee's recommendations will be presented to Senator Beidle prior to the end of the spring semester, and recipients will be notified of their award. Scholarships are only available if funding is allocated in the State Budget; should state funding not be provided this year, all applicants will be notified.
Awards for Undergraduate degrees renew for up to four years. Students continuing their education must submit a new application. You can determine your previous award status by checking your profile on MHEC's online electronic database - the Maryland College Aide Processing System (MDCAPS).

The Application for Senator Beidle's Senatorial Scholarship includes:
The completed Scholarship Application Google Form, it must be completed in its entirety.
An MDCAPS account: You can create an account here.
An official or unofficial transcript from your current educational institution.
A copy of your "unique major" approval form from MHEC (ONLY if attending out of state school with unique major).
A typed 300 to 500 word essay on an attached Word document. The topic of the essay is:
What characteristics do you want to see in a leader you admire? Share a time when you demonstrated leadership and the impact it had on you.
You must file the FAFSA and include a copy of your FAFSA.
Include a resume listing:
As a reminder, if you have been awarded the Senatorial scholarship, you don't need to reapply, as it is valid for four years. Check your MDCAPS account for more information.
The application, essay, FAFSA, transcript and resume must be received no later than April 6th.
