This week I am delighted that the Governor is signing three of my bills today!
There are two bill signings remaining, they are tentatively scheduled for:

The Anne Arundel County House and Senate Delegations, and Team 32 worked tirelessly to secure over $20 million in funding for local county projects, over $2.8 million for District 32. The funding will support local projects improving our schools, medical centers, parks, and much more. Our delegation recognizes the importance of investing in our community's growth and development, and we are committed to ensuring that these funds are utilized effectively and efficiently.
I was delighted to attend the Stars of the Industry Awards to hear about the great work that our hotel employees and managers do to provide great service to their guests and amazing service in the community. Over 500 people were in attendance. Congratulations to Donnie Sutton, Manager of the BWI Marriott for being honored as the General Manager of the Year and to all the nominees and award winners.
I had the pleasure of attending the dedication ceremony for the North County High School Field House and the new turf field. The House and Senate Delegations collaborated, over 4 years, to secure 4.6 million in State funds for these facilities.
North County High School has come a long way since it was previously known as Lindale Middle School. With 2500 students currently enrolled, major projects have been funded by the State and County, including the athletic addition which includes the high school gym, classroom addition, and now the field house and additional turf field. The school still faces challenges however, with difficult traffic patterns and a lack of parking for students.
A special acknowledgment goes to Delegate Mark Chang for his leadership as Chair of the House Capital Budget Subcommittee.
The spirit of the Knights community remains strong. Go Knights!
Last Thursday, the BWI Partnership hosted an insightful meeting. County Executives Calvin Ball and Steuart Pittman, together with representatives from Anne Arundel Workforce Development and Howard County Workforce Development discussed topics such as education, apprenticeships, transportation, and the lack of affordable housing for our workforce.
I had the pleasure of spending time with my friend Diana Leon Brown from BWI Airport; it was wonderful to see her there. We look forward to more of these discussions and collaborations in the future.
